Nova Specialty Chemicals provides a complete line of leak detection dyes for any application. Trace amounts of Novaflour dyes can be added to any liquid to identify the source of leak. The liquid containing the dye fluoresces brightly against metal, concrete or plastic surfaces when illuminated with the appropriate light source. Red, yellow or orange colored dyes are recommended for bright contrast against greasy
or otherwise dirty surfaces.

All Novaflour dyes fluoresce brightly under long wave UV light. Nova has augmented this product line with dyes that fluoresce well in near UV light (NUV 390 nm – 420 nm) . Thus detection with these dyes requires a much less expensive lamp than the UV lamp required for most other dyes.

The BLUEMAX Near-UV flashlight emits a high intensity beam for use with select Novaflour dyes.
